Hello folks.

If a K1 petitioner lives in New Hampshire, and they hired a lawyer in Michigan. What service center does their case go to? Is it based on the service center that covers the petitioner's (VSC) state or their lawyer's state (CSC)?

Thank you

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

It goes to the center that is assigned to it from lockbox

petitioner and lawyer don't have a service center per say

it can go to any office / it can be sent from there to another

There is no geographical coverage area for USCIS service centers.  They all cover the whole US.  USCIS will determine which service center processes your petition based on their internal workload and structure.

Neither the petitioner's nor the lawyer's residence has any bearing on which service center will process the petition.  Almost all I-129F petitions for K1 are assigned to the California SC.  Some petitions involving unusual circumstances (eg. petitioner with criminal background) get assigned to the Vermont SC.
