Hello I’m from ghana but currently living in South Korea. My fiancé and I applied for a k1 visa. I had my interview on 24th may 2021. After the interview the consular told me to submit my petitioners divorce certificate, and I was given a 221g blue paper. I was told to submit the document together with my passport which I drop it off together with the 221g form. After some few days, the FPU( fraud prevention unit) sent us me and my petitioner an email asking for more questions and evidence. We typed and sent everything to them. On June 7th our case status was updated and till now we haven’t heard anything and they still have my passport. Any contributions on my case please

It is not typical for the FPU to get involved.  Why do you suppose they are concerned about fraud in your case?

Hmm, with FPU involved something could be amiss. Have you ever been petitioned by anyone in the past or sought any immigration benefits yourself in the past to the US?

What was your case status updated to?

I think so , I answered all the questions they sent and gave them more evidence

Well, as noted, that is not common.  Which consulate?

There is undoubtedly more to this story…..

I honestly don’t know why they think so, we gave them strong evidences, but thank God I had supporting documents to prove to them when they emailed me asking for questions
