Things to bring to Interview. Is it correct financial documents are no longer required?

They are no longer requiring Affidavit of Support nor the transcript or tax returns. Some older interview checklists asked for them but seems no longer. Is this correct?

 

 

3. Gather Documents Required for the Interview

Every visa applicant, no matter their age, must bring certain documents to the interview, including photographs, and the original or certified copy version of all civil documents submitted to NVC. You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC.

What it means is that you do not have to bring copies of what was already submitted previously to NVC

When clicking through the link on the page you sent, and you go to the embassy instructions (London for me) is does say to bring the AOS with copies of the IRS documentation etc. Also reviews on here for the local embassy do state that they ask to see the AOS and the tax documentation. 

I would take everything you have submitted with copies just in case, I would not want to be attending my interview and have to re-schedule due to not bringing a copy of the AOS or tax transcripts etc. 
 

 

For family-based visa applications:

• The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s.

As per your suggestion, under Seoul section, it indeed asks to bring everything.
 

Really grateful for your suggestion as that’s how we will prepare.

Always a good idea to take everything you submitted. They probably won't ask for it, but there's always a chance they might.
