Need help to fill out Form I-130 for my Widowed Mom

Hi everyone,

 

I am petitioning my mom and I'm quite confused in answering the questions in I-130.  I'm filing it online instead of mailing it.  1. ) There is a question wherein it says "What is the full name of parent 2?" My dad is already deceased 24 years ago. Then it asked for "What is their city/town/village of residence? Can I place "Deceased" on this portion?  It also asked "What is their country of residence?" It doesn't allow me to put deceased and I can't even leave it blank.  Do I need to put the country where he lives when he was still alive?

 

2.) My mom is already widowed and on question "Beneficiary's prior marriages" do I need to put my dad's name when he is already deceased and date of death or just leave it blank?

3.) On "Beneficiary's family", do I need to include my dad on it if he is already deceased?

Yes -- put "Deceased" in the field for city.  For the country field, in our case, we selected country of last residence.

Put your dad's name and date of death.
