N400 filed while ROC pending at LIN service center.

We received in the mail the confirmation receipt and the waiving of biometrics for N400, case assigned to NBC service center.

Cheers,

G&A

SRC filer update. My I-751 status changed to "Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction" as of 7/27. I filed for N-400 the day before so this might be a result of that. Waiting on the notice in the mail now.

Hey G&A

Did you get any notifications on I-751 so far? Whether it’s approved, or moved to your local office.

My N-400 window will be open in less than 1 month, I had the same concern as you did previously on if it’ll slow I-751 further down…

thanks and good luck on your citizenship

I-485/765/131:

06/01/2018 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP through UPS, received NOA1 on 6/11. Received bio appointment on 6/15 and completed on scheduled date 6/29.

07/06/2018 - Submitted EAD expedite request with job offer, reason was financial loss. Received EAD/AP combo card on 08/04. AOS changed to 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview' on 7/24.

07/23/2019 - AOS interview was scheduled on 8/27. In the interview USCIS can't make decision because original K1 file got split up somewhere.

11/25/2019 - AOS got approved, received the actual card in mail on 12/2.

I-751:

09/05/2021 - Sent ROC through FedEx, delivered on 9/7, received message e-notification on 9/9 stated case was received, check is cashed on 9/10, NOA1 in mailbox on 9/13.

10/28/2021 - Fingerprints have been taken (Reuse).

01/17/2023 -  Case was transferred To Another Office

01/26/2023 - Case Was Approved

N-400:

08/28/2022 - Submitted N-400 online, NOA1 on 08/29/2022, with estimate time 10 months for decision. Biometrics is reused.

11/23/2022 - Interview was scheduled on 1/11/2023, it was a combo interview for I751/N400. Both cases were verbally approved. System hasn't been updated yet.

01/26/2023 - Form N-400 recommended to be approved --> Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

02/06/2023 -  Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed, Oath on 2/22

02/22/2023 - Oath Ceremony, applied passport the same day, with estimated receiving date in middle of May. ALL DONE!!

Hello Vicolas,

It has not been a month yet since we submitted our N400 online. Judging from our experience since AOS, I think its reasonable to expect a notification only after 30 days.

What we have received is an immediate confirmation of receipt and the notification for the reuse of biometric data, followed by the same information in two separate paper mailed documents.

I am not concerned about N400 slowing down a pending I-751 anymore, so far the online status of our N400 shows estimated processing time of 12 months, and thats still within the 24-month extension period given for expired GC validity after filing for I-751 ROC.

I think I-751 will continue to be processed separately from N400, it is not an automatic USCIS thing to combine them both and relegated for processing in the same local office assigned for your residence. So in our case I-751 in Nebraska LIN center, and N400 in Seattle, WA.

And since we have not received any notifications on I-751 being transferred to another office after filing for N400, I am hoping my theory proves correct.

Good luck on your N400 application.

Cheers,

G&A

Thanks for sharing your current status and thoughts!

12 months is not bad at all, especially with us all going through years of immigration processes.

I’ll likely to submit n-400 when window opens up in 1 month and I’m also LIN I-751, one of the slowest center lol.

wish you and me both good luck on it, and keep us posted if there’s any news.

My I-751 finally got approved yesterday! It took a little over a year! I filed in July 2021 and got an RFE in April 2022 that I replied to in June. I also just filed my N-400 in June.

Congratulations on this one, this is really great.

Quick questions:

1. What was the RFE about?

2. What was your I-751 Service Center?

Thank you!

The RFE was because we didn't give enough proofs of commingled finances. At the time of filing we were living with my husband's father. Right after filing, we bought a house so we were able to send the house title as evidence when we got the RFE, plus the latest 2021 tax return.

We originally filed from California and service center was CSC. Then we moved to Washington, and I'm not sure if the service center changed. 🤔

  • 1 month later...

Well hello july filers, has any of you at EAC (Vermont) heard anything about their case so far? I have waited the 3 year mark to submit my N400 and processing time estimates say EAC processes within 14.5-15 months and it’s the 14th month and after bio reuse and 18-24 months extension letters, USCIS has been radio silence mode, let me know please and thank you 🙏🏽 good luck friends, I honestly can’t wait to become a USC and be done with this omggggg

Our LIN case hasn't moved.

But our N-400 filed in July 2022 has now been scheduled for interview on November 2022.

Looking forward to do a dual adjudication of the I-751 and N-400.

Cheers,

G&A

That’s progress right there.

Was your N-400 processed at NBC before being transferred to your local office? Did you receive a notification stating that?

Filed for Removal of Conditions in July 2021 and am hoping it gets processed soon. Never had a biometrics appointment, and they updated the case status in January with existing biometrics on file. Receipt # begins with YSC (Vermont?) so I'm not sure how long it's gonna be. Hoping it gets processed by the end of this year.

I also filed for N400 last month and apparently they now adjudicate Citizenship filings within 10 months.

Congrats to everyone that has already had their I-751 approved!

Wow that’s incredibly fast for the N400. I wrote a presentation letter as part of my mandatory evidence explaining that my i751 is pending and it will need adjudication or combo interview, so let’s hope!! Thanks for sharing!
