@SusieQQQ The issue of the map being an accurate representation of fraud level was not the issue being highlighted.

OP said that he did not see Liberia anywhere on there.

I take/took "there"  to be the map.

Liberia is clearly ON THE MAP.

If someone is going to fly to a foreign country, particularly FOR LOVE,  it would help to know and understand something about the country, region, people, etc. Being able to  locate  a country on a map would be on that list.

It pays to know something about where you might be going.

(Have been to 28 countries, and lived in 10, including near Liberia.)

Wikipedia, and other sources, might be helpful.

Another, probably lesser used source -

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

I had read it that OP was talking about the list of high fraud countries mentioned in the text, rather than the picture at the top of the page. I personally assume OP does in fact know where Liberia is physically.

You are far from the only well traveled person on VJ btw.

big difference between a European and African country when it comes to getting US visa of any kind

Including the paperwork needed for Immigration. It sometimes is very difficult to get the proper paperwork from some war torn country's. in Colombia you get any papers you want for a price. In Cali there is a street, with many printing shops. You can walk in, and they will fix you up, with cap and gown, with a college graduation certificate, and all the necessary paper work for a 4 year degree, doctorial degree or whatever degree you like. You walk in as nobody, and walk out as doctor.

I’m in love

I’m not being mean and to each their own, but how do you know 100% you’re in love if you haven’t met that person in real life once? You might be very attracted, but being in love?! C’me on man!!! She’s 24 and you’re 32. No real rush here, and plus, getting married on the first meeting is a red flag. Sometimes that restriction is a blessing. Spend some more time together and see whether you’re fit for each other before you spend TONS of $ on the immigration journey.

Will visit first. However, I guess the k1 will be the best option then. Will do one or two visit and then send for her as my fiancé.

Best advice is always to meet in person first before any considerations of US immigration should even be on your mind.  Take your time after that and think through things rationally.  The process is long and expensive, so be aware up-front what it will take, with no guarantee of success at the end.  If you love her as much as you say, and if she truly loves you (not for US immigration reasons), she would also be happy if you move to her country, so bring up that idea and see how she reacts.  Good luck!

Thank you, will put that into consideration

I have been to Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria and Egypt, so I know my way a little bit around Africa. But will visit again and then consider the k1 instead of the cr1

K1 is actually taking way longer compared to CR-1
