you need answers from the country and embassy she will be dealing with

some high fraud countries think marriage on 1st visit when there is not time enough to really establish a genuine relationship is suspect

so,  for best answers,  tell VJ community what country this is

You physically met her?

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. The country in question is Liberia. Did anybody on here have a success with just one visit? Cause I don’t have money to be going back and forth.

I meant my girlfriend online  6 months ago and my plan is to travel to her country this month and get marry to her. My question is, is the time frame long enough to send for her after we marry or should are focus on the fiancé visa instead? How likely will our case get approve if I go the marriage route?

Me and my wife met online 6 months before first meeting. We did k1 visa and by the time visa was ready we already been together for more than a year. So k1 is safe bet.

High fraud so no NOT a good idea

and you need to understand the process (guides on top of this page will tell u) and the cost

and the income requirements to support the petitioner 125% of poverty guidelines for spouse visa

https://www.google.com/search?q=125+poverty+guidelines+2021&rlz=1C1JPGB_enUS833US833&ei=pLrgYPjaE464tAaEnoWoCg&oq=125%+poverty

+&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYADIC

and if you can not afford many visits ,  don't go K1 as the AOS process after marriage is costly (at present $1225)

her religion is important -county is mostly Christian but is she muslim?

and for an African country ,  you will need to spend quality time (lots of it)  to prove either K1 for fiancee or CR1 for spouse visa keeping prove of everything (trips,  time together,  family appoval,  etc)

you come here and ask a question from those of us that have been thru this

and then don't listen

it took us 6 years (married for 5 of them ) to get a spousal visa from African country Morocco

and i made 5 trips totally 6 months spending a month to 3 months there at a time

do it your way and then tell us what happens

best to you both''

Whenever a U.S. citizen marries and then sponsors a noncitizen for an immigrant visa or green card based on marriage, the couple can expect one thing: Their application will be carefully scrutinized by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and also by the U.S. State Department (if the immigrant is applying from overseas, through a U.S. consulate).

The U.S. government tends to believe, based purely on anecdotal evidence, that a large number of the marriage-based immigration applications it receives are fraudulent or fake; in other words, that they're just an attempt by the would-be immigrant to obtain U.S. residence. (See I.N.A. § 204(c).)

Did you apply for the k1 immediately after you met her? And what are some of the evidence you had to provide for an on going relationship? Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
