Such a shame. Weed needs to be legalized and these outdated rules that penalize people for no good reason need to go away.

She knew the deal, apparently some years back they came to the conclusion it is performance enhancing.

It does suck especially considering the circumstances.  The entire PEDs seems to be getting out of hand.  When are they going to consider eating pasta to be a PED for long distance runners.

:rolleyes: Yeah, that's dumb. I file that on the same shelf with people who think criticizing illegal fireworks is somehow "anti-Latino." Um, people of all colors and ethnicities are dumb enough to be shooting off illegal fireworks, it is not limited to one group of people around here!

I would agree that it seems silly. It's hard to work out how the drug could be performance enhancing in any way. The drug is also legal where she obtained it. However, she should be aware of the rules, like them or not. People have to live by the consequences of their choices.

 

I'm more offended at the prospect there have been many athletes who are not cheating in any way, but have naturally occurring high testosterone, and are being forced to synthetically alter themselves with drugs or be denied to compete. There seems to be a failure to understand that millions of women do have this issue, it can especially happen with those with types of hormone problems - but thinking it gives them an unfair advantage. Well, there are plenty of athletes I can think of that have 'natural' gifts that give them advantages and they don't get banned for it.

Hormone issues certainly seem to be an issue with those who identify as women.
