Hello all!

As of this weekend, the validity of me and my fiances 129f will have expired. As a police certificate took so long to acquire, we were held up in scheduling the interview. We just got the final document yesterday,  but no one has revalidated our petition.

The letter to revalidate our petition arrived at the embassy on June 23 while the petition expires on the 4th of July. We have basically called every day but a week went by before they even opened the letter and though I called today and let them know everything, we never ended up hearing back. They never confirmed if they would extend even though we've paid our fees and have everything ready, and we even asked if we could schedule our interview now but they said that we should not on the phone today.

As the petition will now expire, my fiance and I are so anxious. Even though we have no reason to not show our intent to proceed, we are so worried why no one is extending. Does anyone have advice :(

Lastly, does anyone think we should go ahead and schedule the interview even though they said that they "could not get confirmation that we could schedule before the extension is granted?" I would like to show that we are trying but I don't want to look like I'm not following the proper procedures in any way either..

Most consulates revalidate on the day of the interview.   Schedule away and get the interview booked.

YMMV

Well isn't that a fine thing!

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.
