Hello I'm trying to figure out how to get my estranged wife residency in the United States. My 4 year old son is a duel citizen and my wife is Colombian. Essentially I am trying to find a route to residency that dosent involve an I-864. I am already financially supporting my ex and son, she us on a path to a good career but I worry about signing my financial future away. Are their any other options to get her residency?

No. She can only be sponsored by you if you are married (or will be) or when the kid are able to sponsor her.

There is no visa for a mom of an US citizen when he is still a minor.

maybe she can try Diversity Lottery visa but I really don’t know the requirements.

Nothing from you. If she is on a good career path maybe she can get a work visa or even an employment based green card. Other than that, 17 years till your son can sponsor her…. I’m assuming you don’t want to wait that long.

(By the way, Colombia is not eligible for the diversity visa/green card lottery.)

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
