Hi all,

Anyone still waiting for their case from Texas Service Center (SRC)??? We have been waiting for over 2 years now which is crazy.

My wife’s case was filed in 05/24/2019 and her NOA1 was 05/31/2019.

She did her Biometrics on November of 2019 and no update since. Her 18 months extension expired and we had to call and schedule an infopass. They did give her another year of extension and took her expired green card away.

we have done two case inquiries online and all we are getting from them is they said they are sorry for taking this long and they are trying hard to move things quicker blah blah blah. But I’ve seen people get approved within 4 months at the service center...

Any idea what we should do next?

Thank you all.

Per uscis processing times, your case is way outside of normal processing time. You can reach to your congressman, and/or uscis ombudsman to resolve and expedite.

Removal of Conditions

02/10/2021: Received by USCIS

03/18/2021: NOA 1

Am sorry. I am on same boat, I don’t understand uscis and src. If there is a problem, they should issue an rfe. They say the same story- we are sorry, we understand that it’s outside processing time blah blah…nope you guys don’t understand..if you do, you don’t do this!

I think you should reach your congressman

You should really reach out to your Congressperson. Texas is already approving people who filed in March and April 2021. So there is no reason why there are still people waiting who filed in 2019.  Maybe officers are grabbing cases from the front pile and not the back pile. It would not be the first time that USCIS has processed cases out of order.
