I’m only going to be away for 6 months. Oh I see okay thank you for the information. I’ll definitely look into it. So should I send my AOS stuff first than expedite it or can I send a cover letter with my evidence along with my AOS

Technically, you may add your request to expedite I-765/I-131 with your initial submission. However, I can tell you from personal experience that they will ignore. it or at least, they will not act on it. It is best to file, and then, once they accept your filing (all forms), then you can call and request to expedite. Your request to expedite will have no impact on the final outcome of your I-485 or I-765/I-131. If they do not approve your request, USCIS would just adjudicate your I-765/I-131 when your turn comes.

Bear in mind that they have to run several background checks to approve your I-765/I-131. There is no way to rush or expedite the background checks. That said, for most people, background checks will take from just a few weeks to maybe 90 days.

How long is the Advance Parole valid for?

As of 3 weeks ago and with immediate effect, both EAD/AP is valid for 2 years.

My friend got one last week. Both EAD/ AP combo that he got expire in 2023

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Current time-frame for EAD/ AP from filing to hand is 8 months. So you should be good.

IMO, I'm not seeing your GC being expedited, nor even the EAD/AP.

Additionally, why would they expedite them if you want to go back to Canada for work? Wouldn't that beat the reason of having them in the first place?

We’ll it has to be explained properly to them and provide them  with lots of evidence because one of their reason to expedite is if the company or person which is me is at severe loss of money, and I would be.

@Freckles21I think there is a really good chance that you would get your EAD/AP before your departure without needing to expedite. However, I would still do it to be sure. When you call, make sure to offer the evidence you have. Sometimes the agent simply says "we will call you in 5 days if we need anything from you".Then, two things usually happen. Either they never call you and the request sits in limbo and eventually gets denied OR they never call you and it gets approved. I would just volunteer the evidence. Ask them for a fax or email to send it to.

Okay, I’ll do that. Thanks! :) Yeah better to expedite and see what happens the worst that can happen is that they deny it.

@Freckles21You're welcome! If they deny it, then you could also reach out to your US Senator https://www.senate.gov/senators/ (there should be a link on their personal page that says "help with immigration or help with federal agency) or your Congress representative  https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative They do not have the power to sway USCIS but you can ask them to request a "second look" at your plea. Usually, they're able to shake the tree enough for your apple to fall right in your hands.

If that fails, then you can always request emergency advance parole but as I mentioned before, that costs ~550. While expensive, it is usually guaranteed they'll issue the AP. What happens sometimes, though, is that people are ready to pay the 500+ fee, and the officer at the Field Office just asks if you still have a week or two before you must depart and says "let me see if we can just approve your combo card" and you usually get that within a week - maybe a week and a half.

There you have it. :)
