Because Sujeet gets paid only once per month, we have to budget every last dollar. And we do. I have a certain amount I can spend on whatever I want each month, but it can't go over that or else we would go bankrupt one day! I'm not working so I can't argue with that.

I hear ya brother......one of the first things I will do with the little lady is go over the budget in detail so we're both on the same page with the finances. She won't be working for awhile so we can't get all crazy with the shoes and purses hahahaha.

yeah it is hard at first! but now we're good at it. it's the end of the month, we're at the edge of the budget, longing for April 1st!

for the past few months we've been on the cycle where both of us get paid every week. every other week I get child support and every other week I get a small check from my other job.

well J's new job pays every 2 weeks, and since that's the biggest check, it's hard to adjust to not having that every week! I can't imagine having to go once per month. I'd be broke at the end of every month!

I was looking at a really cute shirt today at Target, tried it on, of course it had to fit perfectly...almost bought it, knew I shouldn't...so I put it back. I said I'll come back next week, after the paycheck. Talk about will power.

We have a joint checking account where the majority of our $$$ goes for all our monthly expenses. Then we each have seperate savings accounts. Mostly just fun money in those accounts. But we are VERY firm believers of all of our money is "ours", not seperate.
