June 2021, I-130 Filers

For those who have just recently filed I-130 for your family members, please join the thread.

 

I am a US citizen filing for my spouse. Priority Date is 06/22/2021, the letter came from Texas Service Center, but USCIS said the case is assigned to California Service Center.

I filed in April 2021. USCIS said case is in VT, but, NOA1 shows Texas return address

I filed my i130 on 06/21/21 and as of 07/07/21 it states actively reviewing

@Goble- Join the club!  I do too get a letter (both physical and online after filing) NOA1 coming from Texas Service Center address, but USCIS (through a chat with agent on AskEmma) states that my case is currently assigned to California Service Center.  I would love to know how they choose where each case goes to.

Hey all,

 

we applied online on May 28th, both currently living in Northern Ireland. We got the receipt notice through right away with Nebraska address on it.

 

I had emailed USCIS asking a question and they didn’t answer the question but told me to look up processing times for Texas.

I asked for clarification as to whether it was Texas or Nebraska and the next email came back saying California. So gutted to see that. I don’t know if someone’s made a mistake or we’ve transferred or what …

My husband is a US citzen petitioning for me. Our PD is 24/06/2021 and the receipt says that Potomac is processing our case but USCIS (through Emma’s chat) says Texas SC

What did you ask Emma to prompt the service center answer?

You just need to ask to talk to a live agent, and then you ask the agent what SC is processing your case

Not necessarily. I reviewed some processing times coming out of the CA SC and they did not seem to be too long actually. I wouldn't place too much emphasis on those statistics. It is case dependent.

Hi all,

 

My husband petitioned for

myself (spouse) and our 2 children. We did the I-130 for each of us online from the UK and now it appears my case is being processed at the Texas service centre while the kids are being processed at the California service centre…

 

California has a significantly longer processing time than Texas. 
Do I wait it out and hope all works out or should we be contacting USCIS to try get all 3 petitions together? 
surely if my petition is approved before the kids, we will run out of time to get mine done whilst waiting on the the others to be approved?
