We were going to call the police but with her shouting her mouth off I was concerned with the police getting involved in immigration too.

Depending on the state and city this is the wise course of action.

When you send your I-485, please send it with tracking and don’t lose the tracking number.

@Jill Mackie, I would probably just avoid the neighbors altogether and wave and smile when you see them.

Anyway, do not forget to include the G-1145 E-notification of application/Petition Acceptance. https://www.uscis.gov/g-1145 You will get a text message with your receipt number. You may want to include a G-1145 for each of the forms I-485, I-756 and I-131. Total 3. You do not need to include a G-1145 for the I-864 because it is part of the I-485. :)

My sister In law suggested I move in with her until this is all done , which I will do , I really don't want more drama with anyone .

Thank you for that reminder , I am so grateful for all the great advice and kind people. Will be completing my i-485 form today so I will probably have more questions in the course of the day. Thank you again ☺️

I think that is a good idea. Once you get your I-797 Notice of action for your I-485, you will have proof that your AOS is pending and that you are here lawfully.

Here are the instructions for the I-485. It's 42 pages and it is a tedious read. Make sure you read them. That way you won't miss anything. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-485instr.pdf :)

I don't have any other advice to offer, just wanted to say that I'm sorry your neighbors are being such jerks.  Fingers crossed that a flock of pigeons with tummy issues fly over their cars.  😉

Hahahaha 🤣😅🤣 thank you !!!

And make sure you send your I-485 to the right address.

Go on "where to file" on I-485 page and since you already filed I-130, locate the correct address for your I-485

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Out of status , were working on my I-485 now and shod have it done in three weeks

This is why everything about your partner and yourself must remain between both of you. How can a stranger or neighbor knows about you guys immigration status. If nobody no how far you have gone, they will not no how well or far to attack you.

However, as many has said IC can not remove your partner as long as you have pending application for changing of Status and no violation of any immigration rules

We are awaiting two documents , that's the only reason

If one files an AOS without two documents, along with a letter indicating the two docs will be forwards upon receipt most likely nothing will happen except maybe a request for ADDITIONAL  information. Once the AOS is filed your safe
