Incorrect

Texas had like 3 million cases, and 50K deaths, Texas was one the highest cases and death per state

You said in your earlier post that Texas had some of the highest infection RATES,  which is very different than total infections.

YMMV

That's good ole dirty duterte brown nosing China

I bet you his pockets will be lined with money from China when he's leaves office

Why do you think they are pushing Sara so hard to run? She is at most lukewarm on the idea of running but keeps getting pushed by her father's people

This is coming from someone that really likes her alot. I think she is awesome tbh with you. She is smart, to the point, and loved by the people. The only thing that looks bad on her is that she has a temper like her dad does which was exemplified when she beat on that police officer.

I figured she will run and will win, and daddy will be behind the scene pulling the strings.

They say 4% had the first shot but only 2.5% are complete.  They are also saying that most of the first shot people arent in a hurry for the second shot.  They are going to be hurting for a while.  My wife's aunt just went for a visit.  10 mandatory days in quarantine and covid tests on day 7 and day 10...why?  She was pissed.  If negative on day 7 and she cannot interact with anyone, why is there a day 10 test required?  She also carried her proof of full vaccination (Moderna).  They didnt care.

It seems like they are making this up as they go.

The chart say 4.95% are now fully vaccinated as of July 4th. COVID-19 VACCINE TRACKER PH - Infogram

Why in the world anyone would go to visit the Philippines as of now is beyond me, It just stupid rules to enter and quarantine.

I know of a girl age 27 got her vaccine last week in Legazpi area, she happened to know someone dealing with giving out the vaccines, her parents who are over 60 have been signed up for months and still can't get the vaccines, She told me she is going to be able to get her parents and other siblings the sinovac vaccines this coming week due to knowing the right people.

Seems as if corruption is alive and well even with covid vaccines.

That is a step in the right direction with the numbers. We both know there are a lot of people profiteering from Covid.  Corrupt politicians are always looking for an angle. One of the Kaptains in Pateros was renting out their ambulance to allow people to move around. He finally got busted when he picked up his girlfriend in Pangasinan  to bring her to Pateros. His wife was not happy with that arrest.

So some of the vaccine actually made it to my asawa's town in rural Mindanao because my sister in law and some of their friends got vaccinated in the past several days. The only problem is that the vaccine being offered is Sinovac. My assessment was giving her ate ####### because she was worried about taking it. My wife told her that " You shouldn't be worried because it is only 50% effective anyway. All the while my asawa got her 2nd dose of Pfizer today, so I am watching her

I’m glad to hear they are at least getting Sinovac there. 50% is better than nothing…slightly. We did Pfizer and other than a sore arm there were no symptoms. The first dose made me very lethargic but the second really didn’t do anything.

If they are getting vaccines in rural parts of Mindanao then maybe there is some hope for Philippines to start getting people vaccinated and turning the corner to getting it back open for tourism and get rid of all the quarantines and travel bans

It all depends what direction they decide to take.  As what I posted earlier, Singapore will be changing their COVID strategy and learning to live with the virus.  Eliminating quarantines and altering how they test.  However, China who has supposedly fully vaccinated half of their population, appears to be keeping quarantines and testing in place until middle of 2022.  With the current government's close ties to China, I would expect them to follow that path until at least May 2022.  However, maybe there will be a surprise but my gut feeling is everything will continue the same for the foreseeable future.  As @John & Rose stated, the inlaws aunt did a COVID test on day 7 and day 10.  That in itself makes no sense and further confirms more chaos to come.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."
