I got the envelope and it's almost as big as the frigging x-ray... I would like to fit it into my accordian folder but don't know if I should fold it?

Another silly question .. when I fill it out to come from Montreal to me here in Hamilton .. do I put their address as the po box or the 1155 Rue Alexandre?

Just dotting my i's and crossing my t's :)

I would fold it as long as the ink was dry and there would be no smearing of the address,.

I would also place the Montreal address as on the packet 3 you received minus the Attention: IV issuance.

Hi Lynette I don't know that it matters if it's folded when I received mine the Postal Service had a big crease on one end. Maybe you can roll it up and put a rubber band around it. They (MTL) stamp thier return address on the envelope

Allie

Hey .. aren't you supposed to be off getting all ready to be married or somethin'??? .Thanks for the reply, I can carry it .. just was hoping to be able to hold all of my paperwork in one hand (accordian folder) whilst my other holds my sons hand ... looks like the 9 year old will have his hands full as well :)

Hi Lynette,

I am not sure if you put down MTLs address in the "from" box. Hopefully someone who already had an interview will be better able to tell you if you do or dont.

The reason I say is that when I applied for my daughters passport from the consulate in Toronto I was told to either put a neighbours address or work address in the from field on the xpresspost mailer. The consular officer told me that they do not put down the consulates address. (not sure if that was for added security reasons since they would be including a US passport in the mailer).

I wrote their address in. Don't stress and run out and buy a new envelope. It will be fine. I wrote their address thatwas on the interview letter. I just had my interview and my envelope was fine, it was not the exact size 312 x 394mm but 304x394. It looked exactly like their example they had hanging there. I didn't fold mine but clipped it with a binder clip to my x-ray envelope. I'm sure it will be Ok to fold it to.

Subject: Return mailing address

On the Canada Post pre-paid envelope that is to be brought to the Consulate at the time of the interview if I add the Consulate’s return address:

U.S. Consulate General

P.O. Box 65, Station Desjardins

Montreal, QC

H5B 1G1

myself would that cause a problem.

Thank you
