REMEDICAL Request DS 5535 AGAIN and Return Passport ABU DHABI (merged)

I have a question, has any one who had case through US EMBASSY in Abu Dhabi, requested to do MEDICAL AGAIN, then requested to submit passport again and a DS 5535 and then return to AP CHECK after you followed all the steps.

They sent email indicating we have to go back to DUBAI and do medical and turn in passport which we did, and also updated DS 260.  Then after we submitted all documents, including DS 5535.  They returned PASSPORT via empost and said I am back in AP Check.   Why would they ask for NEW medical, DS 260 and passport.  No information changed from last time in AP CHECK two years ago.  So I am confused at why this happened.  Did anyone actually get US visa after this process of re-medical and how long did it take.

Medical exams expire after 6 months.  That's why they asked for a new one.

As Lucky Cat said yesterday medicals expire in 6 months

so,  from  me,,  if you have a new interview ,  the medical has to be current

and ,  yes,  people have gotten a visa after going thru ds 5535 process and new interviews

it may be helpful to read the ds 5535 posts here in VJ for information from others that went thru this

jeanne Adil Thank you.  I just wanted to also see if they DO NOT request interview again and only remedical/DS 260 update/New DS 5535 and new passport, and all that done and sent to them, would they timely issue Applicant a visa once they sent visa back passport or will it drag on a long time.

If while reviewing the ds 5535 the medical exam expires (6 months again),  they will ask for new medical

they can also require updated ds 260 and anything else they want for the files

new interview???  maybe

you would think this would be the end but its not until they say so and ask for your passport

Update:  We were sent a BLUE 221g with passport returned and ONE CHECK MARK ONLY NEXT TO Administrative Processing.  Don't know how long it will take or what they are checking because nothing changed since last sent 5535, not employer.  Only a few trips to Abu Dhabi to help wife and daughter get their Visas.

If you are Pakistani, that is probably the reason for the AP.

Finally today visa issued after one more Medical and submitting passport says issued.  It was long wait but over now.  However our case had a lot of travel history so maybe why so long in Ap. Original interview may of 2017.
