Dear everyone,

A simple question; will the 'do not open' package be returned to me after being reviewed by the immigration officer at the port of entry?

Context: I think my official translation is in the package instead of the copy I have of this. Which may be useful to have for my AOS applicaiton.

Thank you!

No. You hand over the sealed envelope packet and it will not be returned to you. It is your immigration file to date, and will be forwarded to the USCIS .

Everything inside that package no longer belongs to you... You are a courier to deliver that package thats all... I advise you get another translation done.

All evidence submitted to the USCIS is to be a legible photocopies.   You NEVER send an original document unless theu SPECIFICALLY request it.

YMMV

Thank you, it is understood. Luckily I have made copies of the original including the translations, so I should be okay.

Thank you, I have photo copies and the original birth certificate, so I think I am in the clear 😁

Yep, good. You are covered then.

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.
