Hi everyone so I applied for my I-751 last year and went for my fingerprints in March but it’s been a year and still no update or letter in the mail. Can anyone give my any info if they have been waiting so long? I’m just scared my mail got lost. Every time I try to phone they just make me speak to a machine and they don’t put me through to an actual person. Please help.

What does the status indicate at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do ?

My wife's case has been ready to be scheduled for an interview for more than 2 years.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

- Some old child of the 50's & 60's on his laptop 

 

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

We got tired of waiting and applied for citizenship as soon as we could, with ROC still pending.

All went well. Doing so seemed to move the ROC along and we did NOT have a combo ROC-N400 interview.

Went straight to 10 year green card with no ROC interview. Only a N-400 interview.

Just our experience in 2020.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

11/2016 - Filed for Spousal Visa DCF, in Manila, Philippines

12/2016 - POE, CR-1 Status Received

10/2018 - ROC I-751 Received by USCIS

10/2019 - Filed for Citizenship, N-400

03/2020 - Citizenship Ceremony

My case has been showing updated to fingerprints taken for 510 days now

My wife's biometric was done in late May 2019.  As of a few minutes ago, the status is still "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview".........😒
