I want to represent myself and do the relevant paperwork and gather evidence for my case.

I have a price from Jude Law LLC attorney of about $14,000 minus the costs of the filing papers and a $5,500 retainer fee but do not have the funds.

Me and my son got deported from America and received a 10 yr ban for overstaying.

I was wondering if you could help with which papers to file in which order.

I was arrested for domestic violence and the charges were dropped, I have the nolle prosequi paper from the court that states the case was dismissed.

What I understand is my husband has to file I-130 for me and my son, when at the interview we will be found inadmissible and then we file the I-601 waiver of inadmissibility.

I do not know your immigration story, if there is anyone that you know that is going through the same as me could you please point me in their direction.

thankyou

Laurel Scott is a successful attorney for waivers. She explains a lot on her website that might help you understand the process concepts and what makes a successful waiver argument.  http://www.scottimmigration.net/content/i601memo

I know the focus has to be on the hardship it will cause the USC if you are not admitted. They don’t really care how it affects you, the foreigner, if that makes sense. It needs to be well prepared. I read a 3-4 page denial of waiver an acquaintance showed me. His waiver  had been prepared by an attorney to overcome a 10 yr ban. The denial reasons were quite strict and detailed. The waiver included why the USC would not be able to work at his profession in Mexico (to be with his wife/daughter) because he had specific licensing applicable to only the US. His mental anguish over not being with his wife/kid said he included evidence of one session with a therapist and ongoing therapy for his mental anguish should be documented. I can’t remember what else was in the denial, but it was a surprisingly long and detailed letter.. I know he mentioned being a veteran of both the army and the marines and that didn’t get him any sympathy points.

Laurel has a money back guarantee, my impression is that the success rate is very high, could sort of pick apart those arguments. There are plenty of good reasons if you think it through.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
