China and India are forecast to contribute a combined 39 percent to global gross domestic product by 2020, followed by the U.S. with 16 percent, said the report released today by the Economist Intelligence Unit. By then, Asia's share of GDP will be more than twice as large as that of the U.S., the report said.

This means for the year 2006, India and China combined contribute approx 20% of world GDP.

Yeah, if India gets hit hard by AIDS the only people I will blame are the people who run India. India may be full of ignorant and poor people, but the quality of people in the central bureacracy and scientific establishment is all world-class. If they don't know what to do about AIDS (hint: google it up, if you're really that ignorant) then no one does.

Yeah, if India gets hit hard by AIDS the only people I will blame are the people who run India. India may be full of ignorant and poor people, but the quality of people in the central bureacracy and scientific establishment is all world-class. If they don't know what to do about AIDS (hint: google it up, if you're really that ignorant) then no one does.

In my life-time, india and china have made the most drastic improvement in economics....India is a major player these days...
