Interview in London

Hi all, I am getting a little bit nervous, as our case was approved at the NVC and they said they were going to work with the London Embassy to schedule our interview but this was more than 8 weeks ago. Why is the case still at the NVC? Has anyone been in the interview in London lately, and if so, could you let me know when did you get all the paperwork accepted so I can do some math?

This is how the process works.  When your cases reaches the front of the line, NVC will schedule your interview.  Until that time, it will stay at NVC.

 

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

Thank you! I understand how the process works, my question is more as "when" will this happen. 

I am asking if anyone had the interview in London recently so I can compare timings.

You asked "Why is the case still at NVC".  The answer is that your case is in the queue with many, many other cases.   Have you looked at other timelines for London?  Have you checked the UK sub-forum?  You might get a better idea of timing.

Been on this forum for a while and upshot is there are people who got DQ'd in Feb still awaiting to even be invited to interview. I reckon you're looking at another 4 months minimum.

We were DQ'd on 22 December 2020 and didn't get our interview invitation until 15 April 2021 (and that was fast)... without meaning to diminish your wait time (I know it's hard, I've been there), 8 weeks is really nothing especially when there's a huge backlog and the embassy is still in restriction mode. It'll happen, but patience is a virtue in this whole process.
