Who can tell you how long it will take to process the forms? Other than the IRS?

You need to file them asap...and then use online tax transcript requesting to get it electronically. That reduces any issues with mail delays and loss.

That depends.  If filed on paper in July 2020 for 2019 and my transcript was just made available June 2021.  I filed my 2020 taxes electronically and the transcript was available within a few days of filing.

IF you can file electronically BASED ON WHAT THE IRS SAYS...then DO SO.

That is the surest and quickest. PERIOD.

Did anyone file their IRS taxes online as       married ,     without their spouse (a nonresident alien) having a social security number or individual Taxpayer Identification number successfully ?

Have no errors or issues?

I believe this can be done using TaxAct, which is the only software I know of that includes a box to check saying that the spouse is a nonresident alien. You would have to choose Married Filing Separately in order to be able to file online.

 

I did not do this myself since we filed jointly and had to submit paperwork for the W-7/ITIN application which must be done by mail or in person with an acceptance agent.
