Importing vehicle from Canada to US- Odometer Units

Hi,

 

My car has the m/h on the speedometer, but the odometer shows km instead of miles. Will this be a problem for importation?

no   our cars here have both and easy to convert them for inspection purposes

the emissions control is the key/  cars must be equipted with correct emissions for any US state /   check the government requirements and your car to see if it is ok

we took one to our daughter in Brantford ontario  so we had to check emissions also

Okay thanks. I got the compliance letter stating that the emission do conform to US regulation. So what happens if your importation request gets denied? Can you still drive the car into the US for personal use?
