Hi,

Being a homemaker n mom of little kids where my husband"s income is what supports us but it is not too much. I need to fill in the Affadavit of Support for my parents whose case is with NVC. How will I do this as I am a homemaker. Do I keep myself and my husband as the sponsor or I should keep myself and my "family friend" who is a doctor and ready to sponsor in another state. Plz help me n guide me so my parents case is strong

You will always be the principal sponsor even if you have a joint sponsor. If your household income is not bordering on “just  over “ the 125% , then your AOS should be accepted. But,as a back up, if you have someone who  is willing to be a joint sponsor, then getting all their paperwork completed before hand will avoid the pressure if your AOS is refused and you are then rushing to get the joint sponsor in hand. You can hold their paperwork in hand and submit it to NVC or consulate as directed, IF you get an RFE for that reason

For I-864 i am a stay at home mom and jointly file taxes with husband. now i need to understand that will i submit i-864 on my behalf + i-864a on my husbands behalf as we file taxes jointly+i-864 from a joint sponsor-

OR just me and the joint sponsor are enough? As i file taxes with my husband his tax returns and everything will be used right

Technically, an I-864A is not required from your husband since you will have a joint sponsor.  But the consul officer may ask for the signed I-864A from your husband anyway at your parents' visa interview.  It is up to you whether to submit the I-864A proactively by uploading to CEAC, or to wait if the CO will ask for it at the interview.

So what I understand is 3 forms to be sent for dad and 3 for mom.

1st i-864 will be for dad from me

2nd i-864 for dad from the joint sponsor

3rd i-864A for dad from the house hold member

And then for Mom seperately

1st i-864 will be for mom from me

2nd i-864 for mom from the joint sponsor

3rd i-864A for mom from the house hold member

If the household member is your husband, the I-864A is not required since you have a joint sponsor, like I said above.  But if you want to be proactive, then yes, submit those 3 forms for each parent.

I was doing the i-864 for parents and being a stay at home mom o have a few questions. Never worked

1) my tax return will show zero??(me n husband file jointly.

2) Is it necessary to add I-864a ? So my spouse tax return will show the joint tax return??(OR I CAN SKIP I-864A and simply mention the tax returns in my i-864???

3) I have a joint sponsor so my spouse and the other joint sponsor will mark 1st joint sponsor and 2nd joint sponsor???or my spouse has to mark something else?

Plz reply in detail guys. This is v confusing

Thanks

You fill out the I-864 as the petitioner. Your spouse fills out an I-864A as your household member. Your incomes will be combined, so your zero and whatever his is.

If your father is the joint sponsor for both parents, then he will be checking that he is the only joint sponsor, 1d.

You will need to provide an I-864 and I-864A from you and your spouse plus an I-864 from the joint sponsor for each parent.

From the above I am right that being a stay at home mom I can mention on the i-864 that my income is ZERO. like as we file jointly the same amount on TAX returns will not be mentioned on Mine and the husband's i-864 and i-864A respectively??

than

joint sponsor will mention income on their i-864

sorry it is soo confusing so I am making sure
