Hi guys.. a lot of my friends suggested me to bring the photo I had for my visa to file AOS and combo cards. Cause it's a good tips to save a bit of money.

In my case,it was on december 2020 when  I uploaded it to get my visa application. And I will send out my AOS on July 2021.

What do you guys think ?

Will it be okay ? Will it cause a RFE ?

Read the instructions.   Does it say how recent the photo must be?

And what would you save anyway, like $8?

The I485 instructions share a link to the DoS website as follows:

Photo Basics

  1. Submit a color photo, taken in last 6 months
  2. Use a clear image of your face. Do not use filters commonly used on social media.
  3. Have someone else take your photo. No selfies.
  4. Take off your eyeglasses for your photo.
  5. Use a plain white or off-white background.

6 passport photos costs about 30 cents:

* take a selfie

* crop to a 2x2 ratio using one of any innumerable online passport photo sizers.

* use an image editor to copy the image 5 times onto the same canvas.

* arrange the 6 copies in a 2x3 grid

* upload you now 2x3 image to file Walgreens or cvs dot com.

* Order a single 4x6 print.  Should be about 30 cents.

* Go get it an hour later.

* carefully make three straight cuts with a pair of scissors

presto: 6 passport photos they are better quality than the $20 passport photos the drug stores will take for you and likely be rejected.

Use a free passport photo app and the Walgreens online photo printing service and you can get 6 passport photos for 30 cents. Even less if you've got Walgreens coupons.
