Police clearance certificate

Hi all,

I have requested a uae police clearance but since I haven’t been there since 2014 they put my old passport number that was in their system which doesn’t match my current passport number. I called them and they told me I have to go to uae and change it there which makes no sense. And even if I try making another one it will be the same outcome .Will kcc accept the police clearance or do I have to provide one with the right passport number.

thanks for reading

How are you even getting this? The official dept of state page says it is only available for people who are resident in yhe UAE “Available: Only if applicant is physically present in the UAE” and “Comments: Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.”

So how are you getting this?  For unobtainable PCCS' you just have to make a pdf copy of the reciprocity page section on PCCs and send it to KCC. So let’s assume that KCC knows that people who have not been physically present in a country in 7 years May have changed their passport, yes? I assume your name and birth date is the same.
