Weldonboy, do you ever receive any mail at your address or does it always go to the lawyer?

Will they accept your work permit (c31) as a proof ? You can show it from USCIS website the interpretation of the class or have the lawyer write explaining this class of work permit is given to an approved applicants only .

Just to clarify, is Vawa considered “approved" from the date when the C31 EAD is produced and on hand, or from the date listed under the Case Status (“ Approved”) Basically, my question is whether “New card is being produced” = Vawa approved .

Any insight would be much appreciated.

I have not received c31 . I applied for C9 like 2 weeks  before I received the approval on the uscis account . School said they need this I797 approval letter .

Technically work permit class C 31  is only issued to approved applicant . If you check https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/information-for-employers-and-employees/employer-information/employment-authorization. It says the same thing . For some reason a lot of people including me have to wait for official approval notice (I-360) . It’s kind of gray area that I am trying to figure out myself too . A lot of people on this forum say its approved once you receive C31 card ,
