Were do you live in NYC? You should be able to find immigration medical examiner close to were you live, you can find medical examiner on Uscis website

Vawa usually take around 16 to 24 months to be adjudicate 😊

Hello VJ Family. I just got more good news. My Case was approved after my C31. I am excited for my interview and green card.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview in I-485 was held in Abeyance? I want to know whether its worth applying for Advance Parole.

Nowadays If your vawa got approved it doesn’t take long , for some folks is around 5 months,

normally it depends on your local office backlog

now that my attorney took all my money not sure if he will show up. i hope these letter did not go my ex's house. They sent me RFE  after i applied under my marriage and now they called me for interview after a year knowing i have vawa pending. i hope my i360 can adjudicated. I am thinking of taking all documents incase they need. I cannot wait this to be over so i do not have to fear of him anymore :(

Fear Not! It will work out! Go with your i360 receipt notice and prima facie determination if you have it! Answer all questions politely to the best of your knowledge! Some attorneys are unreliable so thread cautiously! Ask your attorney to go with you, if they refuse, you can go by yourself! They do not perform any magic, only boost your confidence…you’ll be fine! I’m not as frequent here as I used to be..I’m living life again by the grace of God and work is keeping me away…for those who inbox me please be patient with me. Will get back to you on my off days! Heaven’s best dear.🥰🙏

Approvals and good news continue to pour in, "proving" yet again (T-B. repeats to himself:  "correlation = causation... correlation = causation...") the awesome power of our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Jokes, another of which is here:

================================

A QUARTER IN HEAVEN

A quarter died and went to Heaven.  At his arrival at the Pearly Gates, the Lord Himself welcomed him as angels played the trumpets.  The quarter couldn't believe his eyes as he was given the most beautiful cloud of all, with riches and food and honey for eternity.

The next day, a $100 bill died.  He also rose to Heaven, but there didn't seem to be anyone there.  He pushed the Pearly Gates open by himself, but behind them was no one but one angel who was playing on his phone.  The $100 bill asked for his cloud, but he was given a little filthy gray rain cloud. As he unsuccessfully tried to make himself comfortable, he saw the quarter nearby, partying with all the angels on his enormous white cloud.

Upset, the $100 bill went to God Himself to complain.  "Why does the quarter get the best cloud and I get this puny rain cloud?  I'm more valuable, right?"

God responded, "Yeah -- but we almost never saw you in church."

:P

What would you do if you’re in my shoes?

Filed in 2018.

Divorced that same year.

Moved to a different state in 2020 (during which a letter was sent to my old address). Found out that this letter was returned to USCIS due to address change. I’ve sent several requests pleading for USCIS to resend this letter to my new address. I don’t know what it entails (RFE, maybe?).

I’ve received several correspondence at my new address including EAD renewals and prima facie letters so the address is not the issue. I sent an updated police clearance from my new state to nudge them to review my application.  I engaged my congressman for support and requested an update for ‘out of processing time’  from USCIS. Radio silence.

Should I engage an attorney at this point? It’s been pending for almost 3 years and I don’t know what else to do or think.

Hi ALL, I need advice from the group on how to move forward? I’m losing hope on this case. I’ve been divorced since 2018 and I’m super scared to marry someone else that will petition for me due to the harrowing experience from my previous marriage. I believe I have a good case and didn’t want to commit to any relationship that will jeopardize this case. It’s been 3 years and I’m losing hope.

I applied for EAD renewal in May and I’m at risk of being out of work if the card doesn’t arrive this month. How much can an attorney do at this point?

Hello family, How can I notify USCIS that I don't want to use my attorney anymore  ?

I'm 2018 filler, no approval yet.

I got RFE in May 17, 2021 and I gave him all requested documents since 12 days ago but he told me that he will send it 7 days to expiration date.  I don't know why he like to delay my case.

Hope it's not going to affect my case if I don't use him anymore and if I represent myself  ?

Please I need help.

My lawyer says it takes place within 90 days give or take . Why would they transfer from Tampa to Houston though ? As a workload transfer ?

No, I just moved 3 times in 3 years and ended up currently being in Houston, but originally was in Tampa.

On H1b status since 2014, H1b 6 years expired in May 2020. Out of status / Period of authorized stay since then.

Amended EAD petition to C9 and filed expedite request for same in mid-may 2020.

C9 EAD approved June 4, 2020.

I-360 case approved status update - Nov 22, 2021.

No RFE throughout.

Senator's office confirmed via congressional inquiry that the St. Louis office has received the I485 file and is currently awaiting interview scheduling - March 7, 2022

C9 EAD renewal card production case update - July 20, 2022 (took them just 17 months to process)

C9 EAD / AP renewal approval case update on both cases on July 21, 2022.

Combo card delivered to attorney's office on July 27, 2022

Medical exam RFE Drama: Second congressional inquiry sent in early July 2022 for I485. USCIS responded on 8/12/22 to this congressional inquiry that they issued an RFE on 5/24/22 and were waiting for my response. My lawyer denied receiving RFE and there was no such update on online USCIS portal. Lawyer's old firm was safe mailing address on my case. Lawyer changed firms a year after I hired her but did not change mailing address for my case with USCIS, she said she had a deal with her old firm to forward all her clients' mail to her new firm. Old firm denied receiving RFE. Sent another congressional inquiry requesting copy of RFE on 8/17/22. I also got medical exam done on 8/17/22 as I assumed RFE was for medical exam (thanks for this forum's insights.) Yelled at lawyer and threatened her with dire consequences. On 8/18/22 my lawyer's old firm finally found scanned copy of RFE in their "archived scans" (whatever the duck that is) and emailed it to me. It was indeed RFE requesting medical exam. On 8/20/22 I mailed medicals sealed packet with copy of RFE to St. Louis field office. Also sent a notarized letter with the packet - updating safe mailing address to my home address and informing St. Louis field office that I fired my lawyer. Sent similar letter to Vermont Service Center on the same date.

8/23/22 - Fedex confirmed delivery of medicals packet to St. Louis Field Office.

8/26/22: Case update on I485: New Card Is Being Produced

8/29/22:  On August 29, 2022, we approved your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS

9/3/22 green card delivered to attorney's office (they didn't change safe mailing address despite my written requests to FO AND VSC.)

9/6/22 VSC returned AR11 and my letter requesting safe mailing address change. In their letter they said something to the effect of "you can do this online, we wont do it via snail mail request etc." Just posting as an FYI, its weird. Also received I485 approval notice on the same date.
