Even with all the documents I mentioned earlier they can still turn you back for not presenting the fingerprint appointment notice, but if I were you I will just go and try my luck.

I got turned away at first but then was able to get through to a manager who accessed my case and printed out the notice. Thank God! Thanks for your advice!

I doubt they will let you in the building without a receipt. If you miss it, you will have to reschedule.

I rescheduled mine in November 2020, they called me in, July 22, 2021. Took 8 months to rescheduled.

Your lawyer is so unreliable.  Why didn't he email you the receipt?

Let us know how it goes.

It worked out! I got refused first but a manager there was able to access my case and print out my receipt notice. Thank God! Very stressful altogether.

It’s time for you to change your lawyer I guess . If he/she left you hanging during the simple biometrics God forbid what they will do during other proceedings . They have already shown you 0 compassion towards your case . If it’s not pro Bono lawyer I would suggest you switch before having more issues .

Hi guys,

It's me again. I would like some information about vawa deraritives. I have approved vawa and I have 3 kids that are under the age of 21 ( 7, 12 and 19). They were listed on my vawa application. Two of my kids are in Jamaica and one is here with me. The oldest one is here in the USA and she has a I485 and I765 application in already and has an ead card. The problem is that she had a child at 15yrs. The child is now 3yrs old and is in Jamaica. Will the child be able to come to America as a follow to join?

Did she list her child in all of her paperwork, then she can file follow to join.  Otherwise she will need to file I-130

Hi everyone

Can someone please tell me how to get my vawa deraritive kids here to the USA. They are on my petition and I want to do it as soon as I get my green card. Any assistance given would be greatly appreciated 🙂

You will have to wait until GC approved and then you can file I-824 for your children.

He is going to be fine. After submitting police reports he likely gets approval. The worst part is waiting! This mistake will add many months if not years to the whole process! Good luck!

@sandranj and anyone else who experience this after the interview

Is it common after you go to the interview and ask for the 485 to be held in abeyance they will then go send you a letter denying the initial I 130 but the letter is addressed to your abusive spouse? Isn't all this supposed to be confident Al?

That is common.  The I-130 is your spouses petition, not yours.  So they are the primary person and will be the only one to receive the information on the case.
