Hey ladies and gents!

Anyone has experience filing for divorce in NY?

I went to the  court's website to file online but had to stop when I realize that by doing so my spouse will see  my current address and SSN (which he did not know by heart). 

What would be the proper procedure to file without him having access to my personal information?

No you are fine. you do not need to send medical right now. If they send your police clearance report then that's what you need. 

If you have sent your i-360 since may then you should have received your PF by now.

I-360, I-485 was received  Nov 8 2019

RFE for good moral character was received Dec 11 2019

RFE response was received Feb 4 2020

First PF was sent to me March 2020

PF renewal was not sent to me automatically but I applied for it around May 2021

Glad they are working on Nov 2019. I am December 2019. Hopefully within next month or so i will get approved as well.

I did through a lawyer in NY.

Medical only applies to I-485 petition.  Did you file I-485?

To obtain medical report I-693, you have to go to aCivil Surgeon and they are not cheap.  The fee for the medical varies but average is 400.00

I submitted a clearance from my State in the US, not from my home country. But I have just requested one from my home country and will submit it ASAP! do you think that could be why I didn't receive a PF? But I have not received any RFE either. Should I have received either of them?

Yes, I-485 was filed before VAWA, during a previous filing for adjustment through spouse, and held in abeyance since the GC interview (where I went on my own, with my attorney).

no that's not the case. They would have sent you the RFE if they needed clearance from your home country.

 

If you really need the PF then i would say write to vermont and let them know you need PF and they will send it to you.

no that does not mean that you will not get RFE.

 

So far at the first glance everything seems ok to them, therefore they issued receipt notice to you. Right now they do not need anything.

 

Once you will work on your case and look into everything deeply then they might request anything they need.

 

Since you have not received your PF then write to Vermont.
