Hello Fam. I changed my address about 4-5 months ago online and also by sending a AR-11 Change of Address form! I still have not received any letters from them saying that my address was changed. Is this worrying? what should i do? No one picks up when I call USCIS.

Thank you

USCIS will not informed you of your address changed due to the privacy of Vawa, you can confirm the address changed contacting your congress person to asked or an infopass.

I changed it like 2 years ago again and they informed me. That is why i asked... I also asked the congress person about this address change, and they said they can't help with that and to contact them directly. Do you think the address change was successfully done? Thank you

The thing is I changed my address while my case was already transferred to Boston. So i think that is the delay....This whole process is exhausting and nerve wrecking. Thanks for your help

Fam,

I would like to know if anyone have been to similar situation. I filed my I-485 on Sept 2019 and after a month I did my biometrics. However, yesterday I realized that I was just asked to redo my biometrics.

Is there any reason why I have to do biometrics twice?

Biometrics are good for 18 months. This is the reason they asked to be redo.

To prove extreme cruelty you need to have a GREAT psychological evaluation and a diagnose of depression and/or PTSD.

Hey @sandranj and all, can I get a report from any medical doctor and therapist, or does USCIS has any preference in terms of certification, network....? My therapist works at Mount Sinai Beth Israel NYC, so I would think she is a good official source ; but I have had other physical issues since then due to PTDS and I would like to have a medical diagnosis too, from a medical doctor, so I would be glad to have your inputs about this.

Thanks in advance and have a great day!

I am so sorry this is happening to you, this is why was advise not to travel with Advance parole to country with Covid-19 restrictions, in the other hand the Airport airline agent must inform USA of your advance parole and if its is ok to passed.  United state entry depends on the CBP officer specially if you have a legal document as advance parole. I suggest to book your flight and let the airline agent at the airport contact USA. I had a similar situation with my AP in my home country they did not recognized AP document (not educated at all)  but the airline agent did contact USA CBP and they told the agent I can travel with AP and the CPB at USA airport will make the decision to let me enter to USA.

Hello everyone,

First of all, I want to thank you all for this forum and all the work, help, support you offer. Finding this forum has helped me a lot in very hard times. Thank you!

I hope you can help me with recommendations for a good therapist or psychologist for my psychological evaluation. I reside in New York State.

At the moment, I feel very wary of therapy. I had a very bad experience with a therapy center based in NYC. For 2 months, I was passed  from one therapist to another for each session, with each different therapist not even bothering to read the notes from the previous session/therapist before talking to me. It seems like they just wanted just the money but did not care at all about helping people in need of emotional / mental help. In the end, I feel like I was scammed, and feel way worse than when I started. Now, I feel almost scared to reach out to a therapist or a psychologist again, but I know I need a good evaluation to submit my petition. Could you recommend anyone?  I would really appreciate your help.

Have a great day!

yes agree you should always have it. you never know. plus in most cases it is free if you have paid for i-485.

Yes some times lawyers do not want to do it just because it is a extra form for them to fill it out.

you can always send it our your own. I have been sending my own forms.

Hello Demise,

My combo card expires in March 2022. I am taking the proactive step of sending in the renewal now.

Please can you confirm if I have to pay the $410 renewal fee? Also, should I apply for the AP at this

time too?

Regards.

You don't have to pay if you have paid for the I-465! And yes, apply for AP too (I-131)! :) Processing times are much longer than usual, you will probably need the automatic 6-month extension period (see Receipt notice of your current I-765, our category is eligible).
