Hi everyone! Have most of vawa applicants been granted temporary/final restraining orders? Are these essential proofs of extreme cruelty?

To prove extreme cruelty you need to have a GREAT psychological evaluation and a diagnose of depression and/or PTSD.

I applied for the renewal of my EAD(C09) in Oct 2020, got EAD(C31) in Jan 2021, did biometrics for EAD C09 July 2021 and since then nothing. It’s almost one year now for the renewal and the other one is going to expire in January. I raised a service request for out of processing time since September 7th, not even been assigned to an officer. I’m afraid   January is around the corner and don’t want to be out of job. Has this happened to anyone and is there anything I can do?thanks

Contact your congressperson.

Hi everyone! What happens if i am travelling with the AP 180 day extension and my new AP/EAD is issued while I am abroad…? Has anyone travelled with the AP renewal receipt notice as a 180 day extension?

There is no automatic advance parole extension, they extended your EAD.You have to file your AP renewal ok.

Seriously, I have been wondering why VAWA cases take this long. A few people I know got married after I did and got their GC already, like within a year. Sometimes I feel like we are being punished by USCIS. It's exhausting.

Good morning family,

My I-485 has finally been approved. I’ve shared most times my worries and you were really there  every one of you  Fedaniela, Balo,Pinkrlion,  our lawyer Sandra ❤️❤️, there are so many names but I’m not sure I remember everyone. I was lucky I did not  have any interview.  You all gave me the courage to apply for my I-360.I hit rock bottom then  but you gave me so much hope. Although I did not comment a lot but I read through every thread and I held onto all the jokes, suggestions, advices. Because of my situation I did not have friends or let’s just say I didn’t want to interact with others . Anyways It took me so long comment here. But I appreciate you all . I still can’t believe it but it’s actually happening and I don’t know what to do. I’m so shocked.. I had to check the case status online a couple of time just to be sure 😅🤣. I waited for so long and God knows the wait time in NYC is smth… Thank you all !

Thank you! What is a “great” psychological evaluation? I have a report from my therapist where she says i have symptoms of depression and anxiety and suffered coercitive control in the relationship, then describes it.
