Oh my it keeps getting worse and worse for those waiting. I hope they will find a solution to avoid the shutdown.

If there is a shutdown, it will have an impact on everyone's application, VAWA or not. Just like COVID slow downed everything I guess.

It will not directly impact the interview process or vawa cases as USCIS is not funded by federal government. Unless your interview is in front of the IJ or Board of appeals it should be business as usual .

Getting a ticket doesn’t mean you are guilty yet . Try to get a lawyer to beat the ticket or downgrade to a non moving violation . Will this affect your application ? It depends on the severity and frequency of your speeding tickets . It might work against your good moral character claim . Try to beat the ticket !!

should I provide my personal info and case number to the congressperson?

I googled who the congressperson and figured there is a function to email her through her official website. I am not sure how detailed info I should provide or what exactly to say.

 

could you give little more guidance please?

yes you will provide all the information. First just send them an email let them know your situation. 

Then they will ask you to fill out a privacy form so they can inquire behalf of you. In addition to that they will ask you for your receipt number.

My I-485 has finally been approved. I’ve shared most times my worries and you were really there  every one of you  Fedaniela, Balo,Pinkrlion,  our lawyer Sandra ❤️❤️, there are so many names but I’m not sure I remember everyone. I was lucky I did not  have any interview.  You all gave me the courage to apply for my I-360.I hit rock bottom then  but you gave me so much hope. Although I did not comment a lot but I read through every thread and I held onto all the jokes, suggestions, advices. Because of my situation I did not have friends or let’s just say I didn’t want to interact with others . Anyways It took me so long comment here. But I appreciate you all . I still can’t believe it but it’s actually happening and I don’t know what to do. I’m so shocked.. I had to check the case status online a couple of time just to be sure 😅🤣. I waited for so long and God knows the wait time in NYC is smth… Thank you all !
