Is it safe to travel with Advance Parole especially now?

Yes, if you return before it expires.

Be aware of virus quarantines, when you go and return.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! Is it safe to travel with Advance Parole especially now? My case is still pending, since Oct, 2019. Thank you for your response!

It is safe to travel. I just did.

However, since you are October filler, i would say wait for few months before you travel. We have seen few October decisions on this thread. You are right there.

Has anyone applied for Medicaid or Medicare or any kind of health insurance with Prima Facia without social security in New York? or any other state?

New York city asking me for so many thing, I need it to submit not only the Prima Facie, proof the I did something to stop or report the abuse ( I sent police report and order of protection), proof the we no longer reside with the abuser ( I sent the court documents which it has his new address), My EAD, MY ID, I really did not know why.  For me was a headache but I was approved and had Medicaid with Vision and dental $0 cost since 2018. They provide me as a battered qualified alien. Renewal has been automatically they check my income every year. I recommend you to do it with a community center I applied on my own on the NYS Health Market place maybe thats why they ask for so much proof. Many blessings.

Hi everyone!

I am writing this, looking at my green card, to bring everyone still waiting some hope.

I never thought this day would come but it did. All praise to the Almighty for his guidance and grace to be able to do all this by myself.

My field office is the Baltimore office and my process started in December of 2016.

Please see my timeline below:

12/2016: USCIS received my I485 and I130 based on my marriage.

07/2017: My ex husband and I were scheduled for an interview, which I had to attend on my own as he did not show up.

02/2018: USCIS received my I360 application and started working on it.

08/2019: My I360 was approved.

12/2019: Update/ USCIS has received your correspondence and is reviewing it. (I had sent nothing to USCIS so this left me puzzled for months on end)

08/04/22021: My I485 interview was scheduled. I was asked to renew my medical exams and send them back in so they could make a decision.

08/14/2021: I sent my I693 in.

08/19/2021: USCIS acknowledged receipt of my I693.

08/25/2021: New I485 card was ordered.

08/26/2021: On my birthday at that, I485 was approved.

08/30/2021: My green card was mailed.

09/02/2021: My card was delivered to my home.

Faith and next level patience are key in this process.

My mind went through so many scenarios, so much fear, so many sleepless nights, stress, the inability to travel and go see family amongst so many other things for over five years.

The impact that not having such a tiny card has on one's life in this country is immeasurable.

To everyone still on this journey, I wish you well and pray you get to experience the joy and relief that getting your green card brings.

I am open to answering any questions.

Stay blessed y'all

Congratulations!!! 🎉🎊
When did you get your first EAD?

When did you get your first EAD?

Thank you! I got my first EAD as soon as my VAWA was approved in August of 2019.

I had a previous EAD based on my pending I130 and I485.

Wow… it was a long wait. I admire your patience and tenacity 👏🏾

Thanks Bolly.

It was not easy at all but I made sure I exhausted every single avenue to advocate for myself.

Ombudsman was no help at all but my district's Congressman was at least responsive.

It really felt like I was forgotten about for the longest time.

The officer who interviewed told me he was part of a unit created specifically to address cases that had been with them for way too long.
