Hi guys,

I have received another appointment for fingerprints for my I-485.

I'm not sure why because when i go to uscis and check my status it says "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" that was in 2019.

does anybody know why they request it again?

Also I received a notice of deficiency of documents ( Medical), still waiting for the official request

Hello, please I have have a question about EAD renewal. I applied to renew my EAD Combo card May 7th, 2021. I have not heard anything back since then just received receipts. My I485 file is now transferred to the Vermont office but I filed my EAD renewal with NBC. Will this renewal still be processed ? I also applied for I765 (under C09) with my I360 and that is still pending with Biometrics updated. My current EAD is expiring in Nov, even though I have the 180 days extension. I am very anxious.

Whoa… some questions pls if you don’t mind;

1. How many days has your i765 been?

2. Do you have a lawyer? If so, did reaching out via service request disrupt your relationship with your lawyer?

I want to know so I don’t affect the lawyer-client relationship I have but I also need my EAD ASAP.

I applied for EAD September 29, 2020. It has been two months outside processing time.

August 2nd I contacted my lawyer about it by that time it was one month outside processing time. Two weeks later he had not emailed me back. I contacted him again he said he will request for me. Two weeks later I ask him again if he did, that was this past Tuesday,  he emailed me saying I should call him Friday (today) that's when I decided to do it myself.

When USCIS responded I copied that message and forwarded it to him. When they said they assigned my case to an officer,  I wrote to him again and instructed him on how and where to send my EAD if it goes to his office.

As far as my lawyer goes, I don't care what he thinks, I'm not giving him that call he asked me to give him today.

He can shove it where the sun don't shine.

I have been patient, very patient and he is asking me to call him. For what? If only he had inquired for me beginning of August, I  believe by now I would have my EAD in hand.

I can't fire him now because I'm almost at the end and don't wanna start over.  It will be costly.

Go ahead and inquire, if you case is outside processing time, it's OK. Dont consider your lawyer's feelings especially if he is inefficient.

Will keep you posted.

that's great news. i'm happy for you and it kinda gives me some relief as well.  i've applied on june, received all receipts and received notice on july stating that they have reused my bios for i485 and i360 but not for i765. i couldn't find any solid information if they will be reusing my bios for i765 as well or they will require a new one but i'm patiently waiting.

We both have the same timeline and they also didn't reuse bio for I-765 but for I-360 and I-485

Wow, love your courage.

Thank you and congrats on getting your case assigned to an officer. It’s reassuring.

Hello family.
been re- reading about all your experiences post vawa approval and I just want to confirm data.
case approval after card delivered will be received approximately between 7 to 45 days, correct?
transfer to local office should be expected in 10-60 days, correct?

for whom is from Brooklyn/nyc area: I really appreciate some info about timeline on potential interview!

All RFE are sign by field officer director, the length of approval depends on the officer handling you case, mines took 3 months but I have seem 2 weeks later after sending I-693 from other applicants so it depends.

Hey, how long it took for your GC to be delivered after card being produce?. Thanks

I think it's different for everyone. I never received a transfer notice - my interview was scheduled 8 months post-VAWA approval but I waited 5 months after the interview to receive the green card

I received VAWA approval 2.5 months after receiving the work permit

For me they reused bio for 765 and 131 but not for 485.

They requested fresh ones for 485 which I did in July.

Also, they only took prints from just two fingers.  Right hand pointing finger and middle finger.

They say that the validity of the bio is for 15 months. It is also up to USCIS on how they was to reuse bio like they wanna keep reusing for some people or want to request a new one.
