How can i reach out to uscis ? their technical support does not work anymore !! They changed this over the weekend. Not sure what to say now to get to an agent.

• A request for default is filed in an adversary case and is filed by the plaintiff against the defendant when the defendant has failed to answer the complaint, plead or defend

I am not 100% sure, but it sounds like your spouse has filed for divorce and you have not responded to the request within a certain timeframe. If I were you, I would talk to your attorney or hire a divorce attorney who can help you with this. Again, I don’t know your situation, so I cannot really advise you on this one, sorry

Hello fam,

I hope everybody is still keeping safe out there. This platform has been so helpful and I shared my good news last year when I got my green card. 

I have another issue about my divorce process and I would appreciate if useful information can be shared.

I started my divorce process through the tri-state community services which mandated me to provide my husband address so I can have sheriff to serve him the divorce papers but as it is I have tried to reach him to no avail and I do not have any tiniest idea where he is at the moment because we got separated before getting my green card.

 

Fam, is there any other way to go about this? I need to get the divorce done and move on with my life and getting his address is like a big puzzle for me right now. 

I will be waiting to read comments and useful information on this.

The court has a better process when the spouse is no where to be found, they will guide you on what to do, publish the divorce in News paper etc. I recommend you to visit your state court the deals direct with divorce.  Sometimes community base are limited.

Do you know how long it takes to update ead under c31 now in nyc. I can't find it in the processing time as they changed the chart again today. mine is almost 4montgs pending already. If I'm outside of the processing time us there anyway I can contact uscis myself ? 

They can take even 6/8 months to issue the work permit, but if you are talking the EAD because your VAWA was approved then usually takes 2/3 weeks after VAWA approval.

Request  the Court to publish a notice of the divorce in the newspaper.

I assume that you filed a VAWA petition then it means USCIS will not answer you any question regarding I-360/I-765/ I485.

Your assumption is wrong.It doesn't mater if the person waits 1 year or 3 years.VAWA is adjudicated based on the abuse suffered and good faith marriage.

It means your spouse  didn't receive your answer in the divorce case and then and he/shee is asking for the Court to give the decision because you failed to answer.
