Yep, I am afraid we'll have a few months without updates. Hopefully they fly by!

I have seen others who submitted in July and August get interview dates.

Really? For adjustment of status from work/student visas? Or for marriage-based applications?

I heard they are skipping EADs and going straight to the interview process for GC. People are getting GCs approved before or same time as EADs.

+1

I'm curious as well.

Thank you!

I've gathered the same purely from following people's timelines online. Processing times for the EAD are so ridiculous at the moment.

In a whatsapp group i am in. I also personally know 3 people who applied in June and have gotten their interviews scheduled. No EAD though.

On paper, that seems incongruent with the processing times reported by USCIS. I've been checking the Nebraska Service Center processing times for I-485s and for the past couple of months they have increased their reported processing times. However, they've changed how they calculate processing times now (see below from Processing Time Methodology applicable to I-485s) so I am not sure of the impact this has had, especially if in the last two months they were processing faster than they were four or five months ago, that would certainly slow down the reported processing times.

Here is what I found regarding the changes in processing times calculations:

Processing Time Methodology

Processing time is the number of months that elapse between the date we receive an application, petition, or request and the date we complete the application, petition, or request (that is, when we approved or denied it) for all cases for a specific form for the latest completed 6 months.

For example, if USCIS received a Form I-914 application on Feb. 23, 2020 and completed the application on April 5, 2020, then the processing time for that specific application is 41 days. We make this calculation for every Form I-914 application that we complete in a specific period (in our example here, this would be April 2020). We then calculate the median value (or 50th percentile) for all Form I-914 applications we completed from November 2019 to April 2020 inclusive, which represents the lower range value. We also calculate the 93rd percentile, which represents the upper range value (or the “Receipt date for a case inquiry”). For example, for April 2020 for
Form I-914, our processing times ranged from 19.5 months to 26.5 months. This means that we adjudicated half our cases in 19.5 months or less (the 50% mark) and 93% of our applications in under 26.5 months. We completed the remaining 7% over 26.5 months.

In this example, the range posted on the website for Form I-914 for April 2020 would be 19.5 Months to 26.5 Months.

What are your thoughts?

Have a nice day!

Your I-485 will not be processed by the Nebraska SC, unless you actually mean the Omaha field office.  I-485s are adjudicated at the applicant's local field office.  You should be checking the I-485 processing time at your LFO.
