I'm an April 2021 AOS filer and can confirm that NOA1 receipt times are speeding up. We sent our package on April 2, package arrived on April 6, and got the texts with receipt numbers on April 29.

My case updated to “new card is being produced on Dec 20th, and case approved Dec 21st.    PD: June 4th 2021 Service Center: NBC   They started approving June  EADs last week.

Not sure who’s in Chicago, but has anyone tried walking in early for their bio appointment? My husband’s is 9/8 at Burbank but I need to travel on labor day weekend and want him to come with me so we’re going to try and see if they’ll allow him to complete bio today. 

update: biometrics complete! he explained he was trying to do it early so he could accompany me for necessary travel and they gave him a bit of a hard time asking if his lawyer told him to come early (he explained he doesn’t have a lawyer and was just hoping they could accommodate us) and they did! so happy. His form did have his first name misspelled which he pointed out and they gave him a number to call to fix it so hopefully that doesn’t cause any issues/delays

That’s awesome! Glad that worked out for you. I tried walking intwice as I have surgery on the same day but they were very adamant. Told me I could come back after my surgery

oh wow, i’m so sorry to hear that! I honestly wasn’t expecting them to allow it so I was quite surprised they were ok with it, but we did go very early, around 7:30 AM, only two other people were there. Hope your surgery and appointment both go well!

08/19/2021 Biometrics appointment letter received for 09/10/2021, FO is Nashville, TN

09/10/2021 Biometrics completed

09/17/2021 Case status changed to "interview ready to be scheduled"

Yes, it definitely is speeding up. September 2021 filer, mailed application 9/11, delivered 9/14, NOA 9/17 and biometrics already scheduled for October.

08/09/2021 Received NOA for I-485

09/04/2021 NOA for Biometrics

Biometrics went well, it was fairly straightforward. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and got there a little early, you can arrive 15 minutes early, which I recommend since it seemed like there were a lot of people scheduled at the same time and there was a bit of a line to get in. Otherwise, they took my picture, fingerprints, and within 10 minutes everything was done.

 

My case was updated yesterday to show fingerprints were taken. It only took at day to receive the update, which I think is pretty good.
