NVC Expedite Request Approved!

For those who are still wondering, it might be worth submitting an expedite request if you have a pending job offer in the US. The HK consulate approved my request 1 day after I sent in the transfer offer letter from my HR department, though it took NVC 1 month to forward the request to the consulate (and we also had our senator office to chase NVC)…

That's awesome! Congratulations!!

Does the immigrant have a pending job in the US in your case? because I ( the immigrant) have one and I applied for an expedite and they refused it. 😞

I am in this same position. I will be sending an expedite request to NVC. I did submit my papers in the beginning of June but obviously haven't heard back yet. Do you mind sharing what you wrote in your email pleading your case? I will attach the offer letter but just curious how you may have worded your email proving urgency. No worries if you're not comfortable! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Yes I am the immigrant and got a job offer in the US. They approved after I sent in the HR letter. Different consulate might be different though.

I don’t think the email really matters lol. They rejected at first when I sent the email by itself. Then I sent in the offer letter from my company’s HR department and they changed their mind
