i dont think theyll update this week, maybe next week will be 9.5 hahahaha ok not really laughing :(

Part of me thinks they updated it a day late because they were debating on changing the date at all 😅

I'm sure they know all of us are getting anxious to have our documents approved, they’re like “ok, we won’t totally crush their dreams, let’s move it up by 1 day” 😂😅

Just got DQ email!!! June 8th resubmission

Hi EKT

Congrats!! Hopefully you have an interview soon! The Auckland consulate is pretty fast I've heard.

We are also applying from New Zealand, I was wondering how you did the NZ police clearance? We first submitted the MOJ check which was rejected, now insteadthey would like the police vetting form. However, it says that the police vetting form only gets sent straight to the US embassy and they don't provide copies to individuals so we don't have anything to upload. Just wondering how you did it :)

Thanks

Melanie

Hey Melanie! Yes, we made the same mistake. This is the process to use (Section 14 vetting request): https://www.police.govt.nz/advice-services/businesses-and-organisations/vetting/vetting-process-visas

A few days after you submit the request you will get an email response saying that it has been processed and the results sent directly to the Consulate in Auckland. We uploaded this confirmation email and the actual request into CEAC as a single PDF in place of the police certificate. I added a comment that the results had been sent directly to the Consulate as required because I was worried they would reject it again! I also then emailed the Consulate just to check that this was the correct process and they responded that they had received the police clearance and forwarded it to NVC, although I never saw anything in CEAC to suggest that it was added to our case file.

Everything was accepted at the next review so the confirmation email that we uploaded must have been enough... it is a very mysterious process!! Good luck with everything! I will send you an update on the Auckland time frames when we get our interview. Not many CR1/IR1 people on VJ but I have seen a few K1s.

Thank you so much! I really apprciate you explaining that, we really don't want another RFE so I'm determined to get this right. Agreed that it is a very mysterious process haha :)

Just an update for the group, we submitted on June 9th and were reviewed today so right in line with the posted dates. We got an RFE asking for three things: a 1099 from my joint sponsor, a W2 from me the sponsor (which I don't have bc I live abroad) and a request for a police vetting certificate. We should have everthing resubmitted in the next few days, hopefully the review times start moving a bit faster soon!

Good luck everyone, hoping that you are all reviewed soon

No worries! I also got the review note about W-2/1099s and was told by NVC to upload a letter explaining why I don't have any--because, like you, I only have overseas income. I labeled it as a W-2 in CEAC.

I just noticed that we have really similar timelines! It's not on my timeline but we got married in 2010 as well and have been living in NZ since then.

There is so little progress, there must be more going on than just catching up on backlog.
I am wondering if it has something to do with some 'high priority' processing like this:

I keep checking back here to see how everyone is going. The lack of progress is crazy. Hope you hear today or tomorrow! I got my DQ email at 8:30pm Eastern so there's still hope after business hours!

so I called them... after 80 min hold time... they answer 2 of my question. The lady was nice tho.

1. They got my submission June 11th, my end says June 10th.. so I guess it's not when u submit... They probably got the file next business day.

2. After DQ, they will immediately send my files to embassy, not the usual delay they have since mine is expedited.

So I guess, I have hope for my wife interview in September, assuming they don't want anymore files 😂

That's good news overall. I'm still waiting for my interview date so at least you won't have that delay! I have called NVC twice and both times the the operator was really lovely. I'm guessing they deal with a lot of stressed people (especially the last few weeks) and it can't be the easiest job!

Yes. Especially people with spousal visa and young kids.

Absolutely. The uncertainty is the worst part. It would help so much if they were transparent about what's causing the delays (seems like it must be more than an IT glitch that was resolved several weeks ago) and predict when they will resume normal processing.

Well I'm definitely happy to finally see another June 10 reviewed and DQ.  I know of a number of June 11 to 14 cases with no review at all as of today.  It's really been quiet this week.  I hope we could actually see some progress tomorrow before we go into the weekend still stuck on June 10.  I was hoping to see a "post glitch" boost but it's not looking like that will happen.
