Smh why should they make you wait that long just for resubmission! That’s crazy

I'm here waiting for them to review a single document resubmitted for my step daughter on June 25.  Everything else is approved.  Her mother, my wife, has been documentarily for a long time.  Just waiting two months for them to look at that one document.

please tell me how long it is now to wait NVC for an answer after downloading additional documents and correcting errors

Hi Maryn,  sounds like you managed to get a review of your document and a response, I think your submission date for 20th June so good news they are making progress.

If you have had to re-submit documents, your new submission date will be whichever date you last submitted documents, and you will need to wait for this. Effectively you go back to the end of the queue and wait the same amount of time if you started you submissions today.

Wow that’s very annoying!  I am just over it. They are making everyone wait for so long.

If you are Documentarily Qualified (DQ) then the wait time for your Interview Letter (IL) will depend on the queue for interviews at your local embassy, if you look in the regional discussion section linked below, you should be able to find a forum for your embassy, and hopefully get a sense of when interviews are being scheduled, note they can take a long time due to Pandemic, some embassies are interviewing  now people who were DQ'd last year.

Well this last week there was certainly more chatter then we have seen in a while from people whos document were being reviewed.  It kind of feels like there may have been some meaningful progress this week compared to the last couple of months.  I saw reported quite a few June 15 through June 17.  A handful of June 18 through June 20.  I think one June 21, one June 23, and one June 27.  But then I also know of a fair number  of June 21+ cases that remain unreviewed, of course including our June 25 resubmission so I will  count those as outliers.  So given what information I have managed to scrape up, for wagering purposes, I'm placing my bet on this Mondays posted "reviewing date" being,,,, June 21.  Which would put our case within striking distance next week.

I wish you were right :( but Maryn’s docs got reviewed and her submission date was June 20. So who knows how accurate the dates on the website are…

wow they are being super cautious or expecting a massive delay, an increase of only two days.... lets hope they are making more progress then they are letting on.

Yea.  I gave them to much credit.  I did see several people reporting June 19 and 20's, but not nearly in the same numbers as the June 15-17’s last week.  Being back to only 3 days progress in a week really sucks though.  I was feeling a little optimistic about getting out of NVC hell this week but it seems unlikely now.  At this rate even next week looks far from certain, and we got a holiday the week after that.

There will eventually be (if not already) a August 2021 submission thread.

1. Probably yes, in reality the fact you submitted on the Sun probably isn't going to have a a noticeable effect, i would use the following day as a guide.

2. Nope, the documents are all generally reviewed by submission date and are all in one queue, note that once reviewed if you need to resubmit you go back to the end of this queue (with the new submission date being the date of your most recent uploaded document). Once Documentarily Qualified (DQ'd) you will then wait for your local embassy to notify the NVC that there are interview slots available, and then you will get a Interview letter(IL) , the backlog at your embassy will effect how long you need to wait till you get the IL, for some embassies this has been over a year.

3. Won't be an issue as long as your have summitted all the correct documents, which differ on a case by case basis, usually you would need to show that the petitioner has every intention of moving back to the US, for example in our case we submitted a notarised affidavit swearing to the intent of moving back to the US and providing document to support this (US job applications/offers, US flights etc). What these may look for you is on a case by case basis.

4. Not sure, I imagine they will send the email to all of the contact email addresses registered in CEAC.

If you have more questions around the process / procedures I would recommend you start your own thread in the appropriate forum, there is the IR1/CR1 procedures forum, and the general NVC one.

Thank you so much for all the info.

I guess now it's just a waiting game

@Mogo76 , did you submit the Tax Return Transcript or tax return? Also did you submit I-864 or I-864EZ? I am just trying to figure out if they request the W2 regardless of what you submit.

I submitted tax return and not transcript and I-864😉

In the tax return the W2 was already in it,it was just a summary
