It is a 100% improvement* in document review statistics since just last week.

* ( 2 days progress in a week rather than only one day progress in a week)

I'll ask a math major and get back to you with that calculation.

We got the DQ email today! I really couldn't believe it because I thought when we resubmitted documents for our RFE it meant that we went to the end of the queue again.

Here's our dates:

Original submission date: 9 June 2021

Case RFE: 3 August 2021

Resubmit documents: 4 August 2021

DQ: 9 August 2021

Hoping to hear some good news from all of you this week!

Whoa, that's awesome! Absolutely the way it should be so hopefully NVC have come to their senses and started processing resubmissions more quickly.

Feel free to come join this very quiet waiting room for Auckland interviews (so far just me hahaha)...

That's incredible! Congrats 😀. I think you got lucky honestly, we resubmitted June 24th and haven't heard anything yet. Maybe one day someone will get the inside scoop on how the NVC chooses which documents to review!

Hopefully you get your interview soon now 🙂

Also, possibly some good news. It looks like they are working to make Biden's immigration reform part of the federal budget which should be passed September 30th. I know originally part of his reform was to allow people with approved I-130's to enter the states and wait for their green cards there. So the immigrant would be unable to work, but at least everyone would be together.

I'm not claiming this will happen, but it looks like a real possibility! Hopefully this can get all of us home for the holiday season🙂

I wonder would that mean they will be having their interviews in US USCIS centers instead of abroad embassies? :D

That’s my guess! They’d probably do it the same way they do adjustments of status.

I know their main priority is creating the pathway to citizenship for non-documented immigrants. Letting people move over with approved I-130’s was a smaller part of the bill. So hopefully if it passes they approve everything in the bill.

Usually you do go end of the queue, in your case, you just got super lucky!

That's interesting and would bring massive relief. But you would probably still need a visa of some sort to enter the US, I expect. I doubt showing the NOA2 would get you past the CBP officer. So that brings it back to the backlog and low processing capacity at the US Embassies 😞

 @EKT

Does your status still says AT NVC?

I called b4 DQ, said they will send my file immediately since it's expedited.

I called again today, this rep told me they don't know when it will be send.

Yes, still sitting at NVC with no word since DQ email. My understanding is that you first receive an email with the interview date from NVC and then the case is sent to the Consulate shortly after that. It might be different for expedites though. Do you know if there’s usually much of a wait at your embassy/consulate?
