Hello guys! Hope and pray everything is well with all of you!

I received an appointment letter from uscis last tuesday and i was scheduled for my AOS interview at Jacksonville where my biometrics done last March 10,2006(ead&aos),got my ead card last March 20.

I got a job offer from the hospital and they offered good payment for my medical insurance cost $20.40 every two weeks and I've my medical insurance now under my usc husband name(joint). He's paying $75.00 every 2 weeks too so our question: is it ok if he'll drop my name in his insurance and just get the med. insurance from the company where i'll start to work with bec. it can save us a lot? I'm worried with regards to this matter bec. i've red frm other couples that they have joint medical insurance that shows their both name as one of their evidence for bonafide marriage! We've joint bank account, car insurance in both names, last will of testament on both names, pictures, letters, marriage certificate,we've still have the receipt of our wedding ring. My usc hubby told me that we'll just bring our notarize last will of testament instead of putting my name in his house as owner too being married with him bec. they will charge him 300 dollars for that piece of paper as declaration.Well, i understand him bec. he's been supporting me till now but when i'll start working i'm willing to help him too in our daily living! By the way, he put me also in his life insurance as primary beneficiary so we can have copy of that right and we can bring it in my aos interview.

:help: me guys let me know if there's still missing document that i can bring on my aos interview!

To all the members outthere: Thanks a lot for your effort to help us all the time!

God bless us always!

Joyful&Thankful,

It's me shely and my hubby rocky ;)

Do the medical insurance thing as it definitely is cheaper and to your benefit. Don't worry about the house ownership - though I had been able to add my wife as a joint owner (It's called joint tenancy and the realtor did it for a nominal fee - I think $10 or $20 not much.) I know the realtor (Tennis buddy) so she had her office staff do it for me but she had also told me that I could go to the county office and do it myself - and then there is no charge (I think.) But don't worry if you do not have this - you have enough evidence (and I didn't take the property papers with me to the interview either!) Good Luck

First Thank you so much for your immediate reply! I really appericiate it! Yes if i'll accept the company's medical insurance it covered all compare to my husbands med. insurance. He told me if i want to keep my name in his med. insurance till after the interview then i've to pay him back besides they explained it to me from human resources that if i'll not accept their med. insurance then i'll still pay $49.56 fall on No Coverage so i'll just take the company's med. insurance. Anyhow you told me i've enough documents to bring in my interview date. I'll take your advice and talk to my husband if he can talk to his realtors to put my name as part of ownership and getting a copy of that will not cost as lot bec. you just paid a minimal fee!

Again thanks a lot and God bless you & family circle!

You have lots of proof, use your own insurance and take your name off your husbands. You can just explain to the interviewing Officer (if they ask) that this way made more financial sense. We stopped living our life "according to USCIS" awhile ago, and now only do something (document wise) if it makes sense to US and to heck with USCIS!!

03.04.2009......Posted I-130 to U.S. Embassy

03.04.2009......Ordered Police Certificate for Visa Purposes from Local Garda Office (ordered over the phone)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

me and my spouse have insurance from our own companies.

i dont think it is good to have 2 health insurances. you will pay both and not both insurance will pay the same amount i mean if the other covers 70% same as the otehr one....only one insurance company will pay and the other insurance will not pay....you will pay the remaining 30%

im not sure with this one but i ask some health insurance companies already...

we didnt have last will and testament nor both names in the house insurance or documents because we are living in the house of my parents.

there are other things to present as evidence for the real relationship. you can do it.

good luck on your interview.

I just wanted to say that (IMO) no one has to live life according to USCIS. As you live the life of a normal married couple, evidence will generate itself naturally. There is no one magic checklist, everyone's bundle of evidence will be different. The only thing you do have to be careful of is to try to keep things and not throw everything out, otherwise it's true, you will have very little evidence.

To the OP: do what you would have done if you didn't have USCIS looking over your shoulder. We showed joint medical insurance but we didn't have joint car insurance, home insurance, or any other type of insurance. We still got approved. Everyone's set of evidence will be uniquely their own so don't worry so much about one small thing. Look at the big picture you are presenting instead. (FWIW I think your list sounds good.) And remember, the evidence only REALLY comes into play if they have doubts about your marriage. If they believe you are married (they will observe how you look and behave) and want to approve you, you will be approved.

P.S. Didn't really understand your comment "He told me if i want to keep my name in his med. insurance till after the interview then i've to pay him back." Are you talking about your husband? He wants you to pay him back if you stay on his medical insurance? I thought you had joint bank accounts anyway!

Wow. No offense, but if my husband told me that, I'd kick his a$$ to the curb. Seems strange to me that you think of your finances as separate -- that one would have to pay the other back and that you somehow owe him because he's been "supporting" you. But it takes all kinds and I guess our relationship is just different. :)

EDITED because didn't realize we had a smut filter
