Beneficiary's passport needs to be renewed after I 130 pettition submitted. Will this be a problem?

Passport of my husband, the beneficiary, will need to be renewed in 6 months and I-130 has already been submitted.  Will this be a problem as the passport number will change?  Thanks for any help.

You don't need passport of beneficiary until you reach NVC part of the immigration. You should apply for renewal asap.

You can even renew it up to the date of the visa issuance

When I filled the I-130 they asked for Passport number, so I was thinking if there will be an issue by the time that they need the passport and its already renewed it will not match the passport number I put in I-130.

But what if the petition is not yet approved by the time that the passport expire? It will expire Jan 2022.

What part of it's not an issue is difficult to understand?  Passports require renewal.  Its a fact of life.  You will not be impacted.

There will be an opportunity to provide the new passport information in CEAC once the approved petition is sent to NVC.

Then you need to reread the i130,  because his passport information wasn't required unless he was inside the USA

Does your husband already have an appointment for passport renewal?  If not, I strongly recommend he book an appointment ASAP.  Most DFA offices are fully booked through end of September.  After he gets and attends the appointment, it will take around a month for the new passport to be released for pick-up/delivery.

Nope! I read million times I 130 ask for his passport number.
