hi

due to covid we didn't do engagement ceremony but i propose her and put the ring. so now we dont have picture of  ring exchange but other pic . is this cause issue in interviewing? do they ask photo of ceremony?

please help

They don't ask for the photos of the ceremony because for some people getting engaged is simply asking "Will you marry me" and getting the reply "Yes", no ceremony, no people around when doing so.

No and no.

engagement ceremony photos can actually hurt. I don’t recommend including them.

I agree engagement proof not required. However, you do need proof of meeting in person well documented.

FYI, we actually included engagement party photos because it was the only event that both of our families met. We had no issues and no RFE either.

No.  "Engagement ceremony" is not something that is typically done by Americans, so why would it be a thing at USCIS?  "Engaged" is not a legal status.

Read the I-129f instructions:  you have to have evidence of meeting in the prior two years, and evidence of both parties' legal ability and intention to marry within 90 days of POE.

@powerpuff

Could you please explain how that could hurt? I included our ceremony photos and I was worried how that might hurt our case.

So, just wanted to know your perspective. Thanks!

What's done is done.  Don't stress yourself worrying over it.  Just be prepared for the slight possibility that the consul officer will suspect that you are already married from seeing photos of a ceremony.  If you want details, I think the post below explains it best.  It also links to cases denied due to being "too married for K1" --

Wow... this is so messed up! My engagement ceremony does look a little marriage-ish.

Is it advisable that I/Fiancee get a Single status affidavit to avoid this possiblity?

Can a stranger tell which country the ceremony took place, just from looking at the photos?  If not, how can you get a "single status" affidavit from every country in the world?  An affidavit won't help because the consul officer would not be able to verify its authenticity.  And they won't bother to verify, if they already suspect actual marriage from the photos.

No.  This is not a thing in the US, and as such, it is afforded little credibility.  All it shows is that you were not married in a particular jurisdiction.  That leaves >99% of the rest of the world where a wedding could have taken place.

Any document of this type is useless for the US.
