Frankfurt - When To Schedule Medical (K1)

Hi fellow Germans and everyone else! :) I'm a K1 applicant and have a question about the timeline for the medical. At which step in the process should one schedule the medical in Frankfurt?  When getting the Packet 3 letter or Packet 4 letter? Is there anyone here who scheduled it recently? If yes, how quickly did you get an appointment? (as they no longer do walk-ins)

 

I read the official instructions, as well as multiple old forum topics here, but it's still not clear to me. 

 

The instructions say to ideally schedule it for 2 weeks before the interview, but at this point, I have no idea when the interview is going to happen (I received the Packet 3 letter and documents will be sent to the embassy in a few days... no idea how long the process takes from here, especially in this current situation).

Do not schedule one until u know interview date as the visa expires 6 months from date of medical exam

in some countries the bene was not able to schedule until after the interview but if that happens,  just schedule 1st available appointment and go to interview

the case would say refused while the embassy waits for the medical papers to be delivered and is not a real problem

You need to collect the documents listed in the Packet 3 letter and fill out the DS-160 and pay the MRV fee.  That should allow you to schedule your interview online.  At that time you should also schedule your medical.  I suggest pick a date 2 weeks prior to your interview date, to allow for enough time for the medical report to be sent to the embassy.
