I-751 August Filers - Removing Conditions

It just dawned on me the last few days that I'm soon approaching the 18 month extension the letter provided for submitting the I-751. There hasn't been any update on it since Fingerprints update in Oct 2021. I did start filling the N-400 but was taking my time, do I need to submit this ASAP? I think my expiration is in March 18th as it marks 18 months since Sept 19 2021.

Does the N-400 form provide an extension?

What is the worst case scenario here, can my employer still keep me employed after the letter expiration?

One other thing, we haven't submitted our taxes yet, can I include the taxes for the last 3 previous years without the last one?

Yes you should rush your N400.

No it does not grant a automatic extension of I751.

You should of received a 24 month extension letter to replace the original 18mo extension letter.

If your coming close to 24mo then you can contact local USCIS office and they will stamp passport with a extension. I was told this by IO last month when wife had her N400 interview. As i asked him some questions about I751 delays.

He told me there was 2 boxes sitting in the corner full of I751 applications. But, they were instructed to rush the N400 applications.

My wife Filed N400 on Oct 30th. Had phone approval for N400 on March 1st. Oath of ceremony is scheduled for March 20th.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

The extension is now 48 months.

Is the 48 months for all the applicants? My extension letter said 18 months when I received it and haven't received any other letter

Yes. They just started sending the updated/48 month ones recently.

That’s news to me as I just spoke to a IO on Feb 16th and he stated you would have to go to local USCIS office for extension stamp.

If you have a USCIS account you can check in documents for extension letters.

Have you been signing into your account or just using the check status?

Check status will not show any documents. You must make a account to see documents once you put in your case number.

Yes I'm signed in and my case is showing there
I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence
Submitted on August 24, 2021
Your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible.

There's also a history tab that just shows when they received the form and when the case was updated with the fingerprints

Many people see this. Check case status page not requiring authentication - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Hi everyone,

I filed my I-751 at the end of August 2021, last update was fingerprints in October 2021 (my paperwork went to Nebraska office). I wasn’t planning on filing for citizenship yet but starting to think about it… but hoping to see the greencard in the next couple of months - does anyone know if that’s actually likely?!

We are August 2021 filers.. we got an RFE January of this year stating they would like more evidence of us sharing a married life together starting from the day we sent in our adjustment of status🙄. When we sent our AOS packet back in August of 2021 we put everything in there … I guess they want to make sure we are  still married.

This was such a bummer since we were waiting so long for this we thought we would get an approval but whatever. I will send our response packet next week. Im so sick of this and so disappointed 😔

Are you talking about adjustment of status or removal of conditions? Do you have a conditional green card already or just trying to get one?
