I'm a bit loss. The acronyms LIN and SRC mean?

Hey Jeffo, you'll know after you get the NOA.   Those acronyms are in the receipt number on your letter, telling you where you're getting processed.    uscis.gov gives estimated processing times for each of the centers.   BIG difference in processing times between centers.

Recieved my biometrics letter today, also waived 🙂

Quick question, I checked on the uscis website (both via the portal/my account and the case status page) and it’s still showing “case received”, should this update given the biometrics letter?

thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about that. I know from since the very beginning of my wifes k1 process, all way to up this process it has never updated correctly for us until everything was officially closed out and even then sometimes it wouldn't update until like weeks or months after lol. My wife has her bio waived letter and none of her stuff has updated to that either lol. Won't worry too much about it.

@ane21 and @sashsash

If it also helps, my wife is LIN and just got the 24 month updated letter today in the mail as well. So, they're just slowly sending out updated letters to everyone.

I’m a CA filer and got my 18 months extension letter in August. Yesterday I received a letter from USCIS. I was thinking it’s something about biometrics, however they sent me 24 months extension letter.

Same here! :( At least we got something.

104 days since case was received. No biometric news yet. Got a 24months extension letter. Is there anyone who is still stuck on case received without biometric news for more than 100 days?

We're 104 days out, as well.  Took 3 weeks for wife to get NOA which was the new 24 month.  Daughter (listed on application) got NOA in a week and was the old 18 month.  When we received wife's NOA, they also sent another for daughter but it was still 18 months and also had a different case number from the first NOA

Wife's biometrics updated about 3 weeks after NOA.  Still nothing on daughter...

Based on the above, I'd say they really don't have their act together.  Texas service center.

I got my 18 month noa from Texas 1 week after submission, fingerprints re used 29 days after submission, 24 month noa  just short of 3 months after submission.
